UK Charities Are Missing a £10bn+ International Funding Corridor

Most UK charities are sitting on a multi-billion international funding opportunity and not even competing for it.
While attention stays on National Lottery, trusts, and local grants, three major global funding streams are wide open to UK organisations:
💰 £9.2bn UK ODA (FCDO pipeline shifting, not shrinking)
🌍 €95.5bn Horizon Europe (UK fully re-associated)
🤝 £60k Commonwealth Foundation grants (Africa-led partnerships)
Funding is shifting from domestic applications → international consortiums and cross-border delivery models.
And most charities are still structured like it’s 2015.
The winners in the next cycle will:
Plug into Africa / global delivery corridors
Join (not just lead) international consortia
Build pre-existing partnerships before calls open
Treat funding as a pipeline, not a one-off bid

Right now, FCDO, Horizon Europe, and Commonwealth funding aren’t separate opportunities.
They are a single international funding corridor.
Most organisations don’t lack eligibility. They lack positioning.
If you work in global health, climate, governance, or international development — you are probably closer to these funds than you think.
Just not structured to access them.
The uncomfortable truth
The eligibility is there. The money is active. The competition is still forming.
But the strategy is missing.
If your organisation works across international development, Africa partnerships, or global impact programmes, now is the time to rethink how you access funding.
We help UK charities and NGOs map, position, and win international grants across FCDO, Horizon Europe, and Commonwealth programmes.
